Episode 32 - Our Communities & The Guild Season 6

My fellow gamers,

It is that time of year again. There is a new season of our favorite webseries: The Guild.

Love the new titles!

In honor of the show, Rhonda and I discuss the past seasons, the development of some of our favorite characters, and how gaming communities evolve. We also share your ideas and strategies about how you create and maintain your own gaming groups.

As we say in the episode, if you haven't already subscribed to Geek and Sundry on YouTube... what are you waiting for? "Like" all your favorite videos so we can keep enjoying this great content!

A quick shout out for VitaminAmy and her Extra Life marathon on October 20. Please support her and the kick ass charity, Childen's Miracle Network.

As always, we love your feedback. Leave a comment here or drop us a Tweet @game_on_girl.

Episode 15 - A Gamer Family: Saving the Universe

In episode 15, we introduce you to a gaming family: daughters Anna (8), Ellie (12), and Rebekah (14) and parents, Erin and Steve. Listen to the girls talk about their love of board games, Legos, and sword fighting adventures.

We start the show out with our pop culture segment, where we discuss a new Disney movie coming out in November. Check out the Wreck It Ralph trailer here

Our Twitter and Facebook discussions were about Gamification, in honor of our guest from Episode Eight - Endorphin Dude (Tony Nguyen) finishing his first 100 miler! Listen to hear how gamification does and doesn't work for our listeners.

We'd love to hear your stories about gaming with your family in the comments. What are your favorite games to play with family? My mom loves to play Five Crowns every time I visit. I'm thinking about taking Rebekah's suggestion of Sleeping Queens with me on my next trip home.

GoG Short #8 - Convergence Con & Women Gamers

In this week's short episode, we talk to Grethade, a member of NewbCast Gaming's podcast, about a panel discussing Women Gamers at Convergence Con in Bloomington, Minnesota.

He reports how many of the same issues we talk about on the show were discussed, including how all gamers need to work together to stop harassment, and some male perspectives about playing female avatars.

As always, we'd love to hear your feedback on the episode. Leave a comment here or Drop us a Tweet @game_on_girl.
